Sharing Parish

NAME HERE We channel the generosity of our parish family to feed the hungry and clothe the naked through outreach efforts.

The sharing parish ministry supports our efforts to reach out to the surrounding community through the following programs:

Food Pantry
We support both Holy Family and St. Anastasia Food Pantries (both are located  in Waukegan) through the collection of money/food/clothing/seasonal items; recruiting volunteers and promoting awareness in the parish of hunger related issues.

Volunteer Opportunities: Bring donated items to church on a regular basis. Watch the bulletin for specific donation needs. All individuals, families and groups are encouraged to volunteer. Regular weekly volunteers are needed for food deliveries.

Fill-A-Truck
Fill-A-Truck is a food and clothing donation program coordinated by the 6th
Grade Family Spiritual Formation Classes to support the food pantries’ efforts during the winter months.  Food and winter-specific clothing items are most often collected.

Volunteer Opportunities: Watch the bulletin for item requests and times to bring in donated goods. Parishioners are also needed to help sort, load, and deliver the food and clothing.

Special Projects
We support annual special events at our sharing parishes. These opportunities are announced in the bulletin, in weekend mass announcements and through the parish web site.
